How to Link a Water Account
Are you a Grand Rapids resident wanting to locate your water account online?
The grpayit platform can help!
This online service allows residents to make payments towards water accounts, and other services as well. Users can locate their water account online with their last name and house number.
- If you haven’t yet set up a water account with the city, head over to their website to learn how to get started.
However, if you already have an account, follow the directions below to locate your water account on grpayit.
Create an account on grpayit
To begin, go to grpayit or download the app from your smartphone’s app store and click on Continue to PayIt Login.
To create an account with your email address, click on the Sign Up tab. Otherwise, you can log in using an existing Apple, Google, or Facebook account.
- You can also elect to Continue as Guest. However with an account your information is securely saved to your profile, making future visits to grpayit much easier.
Find a Grand Rapids water account
Once you get to the main dashboard, click on the WaterBot in the bottom right corner of the available services.
The WaterBot will then ask you to search for an account using a water account number, or your last name and house number.
- The house number is the numerical portion of the address. For example, owner John Smith at address 1234 Example Street would use search criteria: Smith 1234.
Once the system locates your account, it will provide you with information such as the service address and account number. To continue, select Yes, that’s mine!
Next, you will be prompted to answer whether you want to continue receiving paper bills, or switch to E-billing. If you select the latter options, you will no longer receive water bills in the mail.
If there is a water bill due, you will be asked if you’d like to make a payment at this juncture. If there are no bills due, you can either look up another account or select No thanks, I’m all set.
For reference, grpayit users signed into an account can always view their account information and billing history by clicking on the WaterBot tab on the dashboard and then selecting the account.
The grpayit platform, powered by PayIt, allows users to also create monthly payments and even set up automatic payments for quarterly water bills, all with secure digital wallet technology.
